I am very impressed with the technology that has come up thus far. It is very exciting and scary as we get more technology savvy to see what other inventions we will get accustomed to. I think a majority of the people use technology to make their lives easier. Everyone's time is valuable to them, so with technology becoming more advanced the more time people get to spend on themselves.

For me personally, I can very much relate to an empowered learner. I really use technology to research topics that I may not be too familiar with and I can maybe see how other people understand the topic. For example, if I do not understand a calculus 2 subject, I would go to Khan Academy and see someone else work out that problem or read how other people go to the answer. I think I need to become more of an innovative designer because I am not used to designing items or being creative. I feel like it is beneficial to let some creative juices flow.

I agree with the title, digital natives. The title refers to people who grew up around technology. As great as technology is, it is kind of sad to see that people are glued to their phones and not really take in the world around them. I do see that some students can be more knowledgeable on some technology than teachers, but now I feel like teachers are more up to date with how much students know. I am still learning about some apps like excel that my parents and teachers know all about, but for other apps like Facebook or Twitter, digital natives might know better. I think I might be up to date on a lot of things as a teacher and we will have teaching seminars with new technology so we might be able to know more teaching technology than teachers now, but apps and games, kids might know more.
