Most of the flipped classrooms begin online and end in the classroom. To my knowledge, the students prepare ahead of class time to see the lecture and what the class is about. During class time, they collaborate with other students on what would normally be homework or activities they would complete outside of class. The point of this is that most of the lecture gets taken up during class time. By already knowing the lecture, students can put their knowledge of the lecture to use with their classmates and work together so they all understand the lecture. OER (open education resources) are resources that everyone can access. Most of these are online. As we know there are websites like Wikipedia that allow people to edit information and change it, but is available to everyone.
