Most of the flipped classrooms begin online and end in the classroom. To my knowledge, the students prepare ahead of class time to see the lecture and what the class is about. During class time, they collaborate with other students on what would normally be homework or activities they would complete outside of class. The point of this is that most of the lecture gets taken up during class time. By already knowing the lecture, students can put their knowledge of the lecture to use with their classmates and work together so they all understand the lecture. OER (open education resources) are resources that everyone can access. Most of these are online. As we know there are websites like Wikipedia that allow people to edit information and change it, but is available to everyone. I really like that you can make comments on other people's comments. It was very difficult trying to find out who commented back on your post, but by highlighting and emphasizing something important that they say makes it easier for people to see. Overall Diigo is a great website. You can share multiple resources with your classmates and your teachers. You can share with either classmates, teammates or professionals some sources that you found if you are working on group projects and people can comment on some information that they can use for the project or whatever you wanted to use Diigo for. It is a great way to share information and similar websites that people can check out. There are 6 major points of Bloom's taxonomy. They are: remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create. So far my experience with Twitter is really good. Some of my classmates put really good criticisms and websites for me to look at. I often find myself, @-ing classmates, saying how amazing the technology is that they shared and some of their articles they post. It is a great way to communicate with classmates even if you are not in class. I really liked designing the website because it let me discuss a topic that I was interested in and also had creative license to design it the way I liked. I thought that everything was really easy for me to input like the calendar. There really was not any issues, but everything took a lot of time like any good website. I don't normally see public schools that have teacher resources out publicly. When teachers post inside of websites such as canvas where it is more catered to you, then they post resources. If there is something public, it would just give the basic information about how to contact the person. An example of this is the website for my mom's school. When you open up the faculty page it just provides teachers emails. However, there is a section for different grade levels, and it explains what they will learn by the time they graduate from that grade and what tools they incorporate. I talked about emotional intelligence and how we can better react to situations using the ABCDE model. People think that reactions are caused by events when in reality, it is from past thoughts or behaviors. (ex. you might want to yell at someone for cutting you off in traffic, and you are not necessarily mad about this time that a person cut you off but mad about another time when you were running late to work and someone cut you off,) I also talked about how corporations are using virtual reality to work on emotional intelligence and connect people from the same business but on different parts of the world.

I think that Diigo is a great website to use! I love that it makes it easier for people to see what articles are about and how east people can access it. The feature of highlighting sentences that you can find online is also a really helpful feature for me because it can help me organize my thoughts. I like that I can also make sticky notes. I could definitely see myself using this as a teacher, but I don’t think I would use it with a group of people. I personally like using a blog instead of discussion board. As silly as this may sound I like being able to make my background look really visually appealing. I’m not a big fan that it is very centered around me, but I like how easy it’s been able to use. With Twitter, I started out re-tweeting funny posts. The more I used it the more I was familiar in using it. I then started to realize how helpful some articles were. The first time I made a twitter account for a class I realized how beneficial this could be to my future career as an educator. If I keep my educator account, I can follow other more experienced teachers and take from the articles or the tweets that they retweet. Technology is being made to help people save time and make the world more accessible. It is super helpful to be connected with the world around you so you can do something as simple as shop when there are no stores nearby, to starting a company website and getting your name out to investors. The internet is so extensive that it is difficult to know every source that would be useful to us as future teachers. I really like the ELA standard "LAFS.K.W.2.6 With guidance and support from adults, explore a variety of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including in combination with peers." This is for kindergarten standards. I will use this because I want to teach kindergarten. The technology associated with this is smartboard and digital learning. I really like smartboard because I have been using Smartboard since I was in middle school. Our teachers would teach us how to effectively use it and I would play with the smartboard until it was time for class. I would deliberately show up to school early to play with it. I am not very knowledgeable about StoryJumper which is also used for technology for kindergarteners. StoryJumper seems like a really good website for me to use. I have mainly used Word to write essays. My teachers have taught us how to use word but again they mainly used it for essays. I have taken notes as well online if I did not have access or if I forgot to bring my notebook. I still really like writing notes by hand but it is definitely useful because there can be multiple copies of your notes or essays online so if something spilled on you paper, you can just print out another one. If you hand write notes and you spill something on your notes, it can be unreadable and you might have to get notes from somebody else. I have been taught time and time again how to cite the information I have used. Teachers usually like when you direct quote and explain what you think the person meant and your view instead of just paraphrase the whole article or paper or etc. You have to be very careful and pull from sources where it is okay to use their work like academic articles or textbooks. I am currently a french minor. I am in French 3 and I really am enjoying the language. I took French because I wanted to be ESL certified (English Second Learning).  If I decide to just teach French, there are some great resources that I would want my students to use. I really love the application Duolingo. It not only helps you earn the vocabulary with pictures in English and hints, but also it has a microphone so children can pronounce the words correctly and the app will give feedback on that. Not only does the app come with these features, it also comes with a group chat inside the app so you can practice texting and it will put you in a group of people around the same level as you. My friend also added me on a Facebook page where all people from around the world are trying to learn a different language and they have Whatsapp or other ways to communicate and teach each other. I can take some resources and put it in my classroom as well.

I am very impressed with the technology that has come up thus far. It is very exciting and scary as we get more technology savvy to see what other inventions we will get accustomed to. I think a majority of the people use technology to make their lives easier. Everyone's time is valuable to them, so with technology becoming more advanced the more time people get to spend on themselves. For me personally, I can very much relate to an empowered learner. I really use technology to research topics that I may not be too familiar with and I can maybe see how other people understand the topic. For example, if I do not understand a calculus 2 subject, I would go to Khan Academy and see someone else work out that problem or read how other people go to the answer. My name is Amanda. I am a junior at Florida State University. I am studying Family and Child Sciences but I ultimately want to be a teacher. My dad works for a banking corporation and my mother is a teacher. I have a younger brother who is about to go into college and he loves technology. I do not know a lot about technology. My first phone was in high school and I learned through my friends how to use my phone. Now I know a lot more about phones and computers but I am really interested in 3D printing. I have seen it used before but I think that it is a really cool way for kids to put their designs into action. I would really like to learn more about 3D printing. I would also like to know how to use technology for younger students so that it is beneficial but they are still able to be a child and not have their whole education on a computer.
